【Dance #1】”Reboot Program” of the University of Tsukuba Athletes

【Dance#1】Stability and Release

 

This is dance edition.

You will achieve dynamic movement by mixing stability and release.

Let’s dance rhythmically and focus on your breathing.

 

This program is about 8 minutes.

The warm-up effect will be enhanced more when you do this continuously.

 

It does not matter if you are new to dancing.
Let’s move the body together and relax the mind as well.

Introduction of the Researcher

 

HIRAYAMA Motoko

Associate Professor, the Faculty of Health and Sport Sciences, University of Tsukuba / Contemporary Dancer / Choreographer.

Her research fields are contemporary dance and the body awareness that dancers need for new dance styles.

 

As a dancer, she won many awards, including the gold medal and the Vaslav Nijinsky Award at the 3rd Japan International Ballet & Modern Dance Competition.

 

And in recent years, she has been expanding her activities as a choreographer.

As a choreographer, she has been highly evaluated and received the7th Asahi Performing Arts Awards (2007), the New Face Award of Minister of Education Award for Fine Arts (2009), and more.

In addition, she is active in various fields, such as choreography for artistic swimming at the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games and for Japanese national figure skater.

 

Since 2002, she had been making efforts to foster the youth at her university.
