“Volunteer Seminar for Visually Impaired -Toward the Olympic and Paralympic Games Tokyo2020-” was Held

 

On 25 September 2018, “Volunteer Seminar for Visually Impaired -Toward the Olympic and Paralympic Games Tokyo2020-” was held at Bunkyo School Building, Tokyo Campus of University of Tsukuba.

 

Prior to the recruitment of Tokyo 2020 volunteers, the brief explanation about the contents of Games’ volunteer and the application method was made, and after that, various questions and requests came up from the participants, and discussions was made about how visually impaired can get involved in the games as the volunteer. The state of the seminar was broadcast on the TV programme by NHK.

87 people including 31 visually impaired attend the seminar, and there were a lot of questions and comments about Participation in the Games’ volunteer. Acupuncture and Physical Therapy Teacher Training School will summarize the results of the seminar, and will make suggestions about active participation as the Games volunteer by the blind and visually impaired.
