Lecture “Acupuncture and Physical Therapy Education and Tokyo 2020 Games” was Held

 

From 17 to 20 July 2018, “Workshop for Teachers Working for Self-help Subject at Special Support Schools” and “License Renewal Workshop” was held at Bunkyo School Building, Tokyo Campus of University of Tsukuba.

In the workshops, several lectures were presented by experts, including teachers belong to the University of Tsukuba, with setting “Acupuncture and Physical Therapy Education and the Olympic and Paralympic Games Tokyo 2020 –The roles played by Acupuncture and Physical Therapy–” as its theme. 85 teachers for acupuncture and physical therapy from 54 special needs education school for the visually impaired in all over the Japan, located from the northern part of Japan (Hokkaido prefecture) to the southern part of Japan (Okinawa prefecture) joined the workshops.

 

 

The lectures were so attractive that participants gave comments such as shown below.

  • I could learn that we could support the Olympic and Paralympic games indirectly.
  • It was good to opportunity to learn the information about the circumstances around athletes and volunteers, toward the Olympic and Paralympic Games in Tokyo. I would like to share what I learned through the lectures to my students at school, to make them interested in the Games.
  • I was satisfied that I could hear the story about the Paralympic movements from those experts directly.
