Visually Impaired Volunteers

The visually impaired students belong to Acupuncture and Physical Therapy Teacher Training School, Special Needs Education School for the Visually Impaired, University of Tsukuba, and Tsukuba University of Technology participated the big sports event as volunteers to support the management of those events. On 24th March 2019, they volunteered at “Para Ekiden”, and on 23rd November 2018, they volunteered at “Para Fes 2018”.
 
Activities at “Para Ekiden”, both the visually impaired and non-disabled people worked together. It is true that there are some problems, but Acupuncture and Physical Therapy Teacher Training School will consider better ways for volunteer by visually impaired, through volunteer activities cooperating with the Nippon Foundation Paralympic Support Center and the Nippon Foundation Volunteer Support Center.
