Announcement of “Tsukuba Media Art Festival 2018”

Tsukuba Media Art Festival began in 2006 with the aim of disseminating the culture of Tsukuba which made the best use of the characteristic of “Science city Tsukuba”. This year’s event is held for the fourth time.

 

The University of Tsukuba’s research unit of collaborating Engineering and Art is the world’s top class achievements in the field of media art. The projects of this research unit collaborate beyond the fields from engineering to arts, and aims for cultivating a new academic field which science and technology and culture arts are joined together.

 

Exhibition of art works and media art created using science and technology.
17 groups’ works created by students aiming at the world’s top artists, creators born by the University of Tsukuba, and furthermore, invited special artists from abroad will be exhibited.

 

You will see, experience, and learn the results of cutting-edge research and interesting ideas.
