Bunkyo City Will Hold an Event to Learn and Play Boccia.
We will introduce an event related to the Olympic and Paralympic Games Tokyo 2020 from Bunkyo city in Tokyo.
* Bunkyo city and University of Tsukuba concluded an agreement in 2010, in order to respond appropriately to local issues, and contribute to the development of community and academic research. Furthermore, Tokyo campus and laboratory schools are located in Bunkyo city.
Learn and Play Boccia
Bunkyo city will work on the dissemination and promotion of boccia. Therefore, a boccia event shown below will be held, under the cooperation of Japan Boccia Association and Bunkyo ward sports promotion commissioner.

- Game session … 12:45 (PM) – 2:45 (PM)
- PLACE: Bunkyo ward Edogawabashi Gymnasium

Play Boccia
Before the event shown above, Bunkyo city will hold an event that people can experience boccia. If you do not have the experience of playing boccia, or if you want to play boccia before 11 March, please come and join!
- DATE: 11 February 2018 (Wed) 18:30 – 20:00 (scheduled)
- PLACE: Bunkyo Kumin Center (Community Center) 3-A meeting room
- Free of Charge
* Equipment for boccia is prepared by Bunkyo City, so you do not need anything in particular; such as gym shoes.
