Promote the project of “Academy for Tomorrow’s Leaders in Sport”.

“Academy for Tomorrow’s Leaders in Sport” is one of the core objectives for “Sports for Tomorrow” and a policy aim of the Ministry.
The aim of this project is to create the international core-base using the network of domestic and international universities, which are playing an important role of research in the field of sports and physical exercise. The base is expected to widely promote the Olympic and Paralympic movement and to promote the medical and sports science.
These are two main roles of the base: (1) Inviting international sport industry participation, and (2) Promoting and cultivating the core sports leaders globally. Through “Tsukuba International Academy for Sport Studies (TIAS)”, the educational institute of University of Tsukuba (UT), UT will produce the next generation of leaders for the world of sport.
